Day 92 - Collaroy to Manly

Life's a Beach Walk finished in the rain on Manly Beach today with a marvellous group of friends, family and ME/CFS sufferers and advocates.

Huge big thanks to everyone that braved the weather to join me and make today so memorable. And thanks to everyone else who has helped and supported me along the way.

The total distance covered in the last three months is 786 kilometers. A good long walk!

I'm short on words tonight after what has been a marvellous and eventful day, the photos tell the story well. It's time now for rest and to dry out my pruney feet!

The End, for now........

  1. Congratulations Rachel! Well done! The picture of you with your friends crossing the line is fantastic, very touching. Especially after walking so far, so alone!

Perhaps there's a metaphor to be found in there? That all the time we feel alone with ME/CFS, there are others who care and watch our walk? Or that everyone wants to be in it at the finish line, but few walk with you... hmmm. I was going to say let's go with the first one, but actually I think maybe they both together are more true!

Thank you for carrying me along this beautiful coastline through your blogging and photos.

    Best wishes

  2. Congratulations Rachel!
I am still on the CFS/ME journey....6 years but can see light now at the end of the tunnel.

I love the picture of one set of footprints in the sand as this is so truly how we feel with CFS...but with brave people like you more are becoming aware of this debilitating illness.

Thank you for taking us on this wonderful journey with you and raising awareness of CFS/ME.
